High Rise Commercial Cleaning in NW London
A&C Supreme Cleaning were asked to quote for a large exterior commercial cleaning job last month in North West London. It was a luxury development of 170 flats in 4 blocks reaching 18 metres (60 foot) tall and 60 metres (196 foot) long. This building has beautiful, coloured panels, but a lot of it was now covered in pigeon droppings and I learned the exterior hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years! This was going to be a mammoth task, as the design of the building had horizontal slats down the sides of the balconies & these were in an even worse state due to London’s bird population loving them.
I did a trial run for the management company, cleaning a couple of the panels. It took a few experiments with different cleaning solutions to find the best one for the job, but the winning formula cleaned them up a treat.
Sure enough, Luke, at the management company, came back to me quite quickly after I’d submitted my quote, keen to get the whole job booked in. I juggled a few other cleaning jobs, in the works diary in order to give this job the dedicated time it needed, but I hadn’t counted on the London tube strike causing long delays trying to get to and from the job. Working very long days, we managed to complete the 40 strips of panels (top to bottom) within the fortnight, as well as cleaning up the exterior of the NHS clinic and other local businesses on the ground floor and all the balcony glass and windows!
The client was extremely pleased with the finished result. I also stuck to the quote, as it wasn’t the client’s fault that traffic had been bad. Next time I quote for a job travelling into London, I’ll be sure to avoid any train or tube strike days!
